“And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience — among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ.”

Ephesians 2:1-5 ESV

You’re no longer blind and blindly following the course of this world. You once were subject to the prince of the air and his plans to “steal, kill and destroy” (John 10:10). At one time the best we all knew was the desires of our body and minds.

“But God.” You’re alive now. Don’t check your pulse, that’s temporary; I mean eternally alive. You’ve awoken to the real you, the son or daughter God knew and formed in your mother’s womb before you were even born.

You’re alive to all that God has for you and dead to all the enemy wishes for you. When the devil comes knocking, tell him you’re dead to him and fully alive to Christ. The enemy can’t pull the wool over your eyes any longer; you are alive.
