“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
Ephesians 3:20-21 ESV
Let’s clarify, you aren’t dangerous to the enemy, but the resurrected King residing within you and the Holy Spirit resting upon you are. Paul’s prayer here reveals a couple things worth noting;
Firstly, “God is able.” That’s why together ‘you’re dangerous’. The amplified version, aiming to draw out the original Greek understanding, adds to [carry out His purpose]. When you pray for someone, or when you pray with someone, God is able to carry out his purpose in that moment.
“so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.”
Isaiah 55:11 ESV
Secondly, “more than.” You prayed for a healing in your friends body, guess what, God healed their heart too. You prayed for your families provision, but God also strengthened them and gave you all a peace that surpasses understanding. You prayed for a strangers knee but they gave their heart to the Lord as well. You’re dangerous to the enemy, because God constantly goes beyond our greatest prayers, hopes and dreams.
Thirdly, “all generations.” This one terrifies the devil. You’re dangerous to him because through your life, God can leave a Kingdom glorifying legacy that stands as a testimony to your grandchildren’s, children.
So, get after it. Go be dangerous today.
